Joe Freshgoods and New Balance are joining forces to breathe new life into a vintage silhouette. The duo comes up with the New Balance 1000 in 'Pink Mink' and 'Black Ice' colorways. The unique 1999 model also appeared in Aimé Leon Dore's Spring 2024 lookbook, and it looks like New Balance will be releasing multiple colorways of this silhouette. The Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 1000 'Black Ice' will start dropping on 19 April 2024.
The New Balance 1000 model comes in a mix of materials, with a mesh base and wavy overlays given a metallic sheen. The 'Pink Mink' colorway combines pink with shades of tan and white, finished with a gum sole for a subtle touch. The 'Black Ice' variant offers a striking contrast between copper and black.
What makes this collaboration extra special is the attention to detail. Both colorways of the New Balance 1000 feature a transparent 'N' logo, along with 'JFG' branding on the right toe, heel, and graphic insole. Both colorways arrive in a silver custom shoebox.
This is not the first time Joe Freshgoods and New Balance have collaborated. Previous collabs, such as the 990v4 inspired by the cult classic 'Belly,' have proven that this collaboration produces striking designs.
