Joe Freshgoods and New Balance have already proven multiple times that the duo works exceptionally well together. While previous releases from Freshgoods were mostly colorful and almost playful, the designer this time opts for a design that clearly goes outside his usual playbook.
Recently, the first images of the New Balance 2010 have appeared, presented with a raw, experimental aesthetic and a less colorful look than what we’re used to from him.
The New Balance 2010 was introduced earlier this year and naturally has a sporty look. In recent months, the sneaker has already appeared in several colorways and has even been used for some collaborations. However, Joe Freshgoods’ release undergoes a striking transformation, using materials not previously applied to this model.
The traditional mesh is replaced with a coarse, woolly, and textured material, giving the sneaker a pronounced vintage appearance. This look is enhanced by the soft, cream-colored lining and the subtly yellowed ABZORB midsole.
One of the most eye-catching details is the chain running along the side, a bold, rebellious touch unmistakably referencing Joe Freshgoods’ creative signature. The sculpted midsole and black outsole complete the design.
Release
