adidas is setting a new benchmark in the performance running world with the launch of the Hyperboost Edge silhouette. This brand-new 'supertrainer' is designed to transform the daily run for every athlete, seamlessly merging three crucial elements: maximum cushioning, high energy return, and an incredibly lightweight feel.
Design Meets Functionality in this Lightweight Powerhouse
At the heart of the shoe’s design and functionality lies the striking Hyperboost Pro midsole. Inspired by adidas’ elite racing technologies, this next-generation foam offers a 45 mm stack height with a 6 mm drop. Runners will know what that means: the result is maximum impact protection without losing any of the dynamic responsiveness.
But it isn't just the performance that stands out; the design is equally forward-thinking. For the first time, the three stripes are integrated directly into the midsole foam.
Going further, the upper is crafted from ultralight PRIMEWEAVE, wrapping the foot like a second skin for a secure yet very comfortable fit. Last but not least, we have integrated heel pods that provide subtle stability, while the full-length LIGHTTRAXION outsole ensures reliable grip from heel to toe.
A lightweight powerhouse is what we get! Weighing in at just 255 grams, the Hyperboost Edge is surprisingly light for a silhouette with so many features.
What truly sets this model apart is its status as adidas’ first lightweight supertrainer without an internal plate. This allows the shoe to move naturally with every stride, providing a fluid and energetic ride, whether you are on a recovery run or clocking up long-distance miles.

Independent research from the University of Cologne backs up the tech: 73% of testers preferred the energy return over their current footwear, while 77% described the cushioning as significantly softer—firmly positioning Hyperboost Pro at the top of running shoe innovation.
Release Info
The adidas Hyperboost Edge debuts in a striking red colorway and will be available from 17 March 2026 via adidas stores and the official website. The retail price is set at €200. You can already sign up early for the release via adidas.
