The New Balance 90/60 is one of the Boston-based brand's latest silhouettes. Introduced in 2022, the model first emerged in its collaboration with Joe Freshgoods. The sneaker takes its inspiration from running shoes from the 2000s, such as the 860. This combined with the innovative technologies of the 990 series gives the sneaker a chunky look.
The sneaker has appeared in several colorways since its first release, the 'Sea Salt' colorway. After the first collab with Joe Freshgoods on the 90/60 model, the 'Inside Voices' pack was released in July 2023. In this pack, the 90/60 model received two colorways; the 'Penny Cookie Pink' and 'Baby Shower Blue'.
The 'Inside Voice' pack came with a special campaign for the charity Community Goods. In Chicago, where the release took place, people could turn in their books and stationery when signing up for the raffle. The items were donated to charity and you had a chance to win the sneaker.
