Hiroshi Fujiwara Spotted in the Virgil Abloh Archive x Air Jordan 1 High OG 'Alaska'

If there’s one person who knows how to shake up the sneaker scene time and time again, it’s Fragment founder Hiroshi Fujiwara. Whether it’s through his own designs, the samples he showcases, or simply the sneakers on his feet, this time, it’s the latter.

This past week, the mogul shared the first images of the Virgil Abloh Archive x Air Jordan 1 High OG 'Alaska', arguably the release slated for next spring.

The 'Alaska' colorway, also known as the exclusive 2018 “Euro” release, retains the signature deconstructed look from the original 'The Ten' collection, one of Abloh’s (and Nike’s) most celebrated collaborations ever.

The name 'Alaska' refers to the sneaker’s icy, snow-white design. All the iconic details remain intact, from the exposed foam collar to the zip tie and industrial typography.

The 'Alaska', however, comes with a striking update: the inner text now reads “V.A.A. for Nike” instead of “Off-White for Nike”, a direct reference to Abloh’s creative archive, which was established after his passing.

Following the recent Virgil Abloh: The Codes exhibition in Paris, this release once again highlights Abloh’s lasting influence on fashion and sneaker culture.

Release

Although the Virgil Abloh Archive x Air Jordan 1 'Alaska' does not yet have an official release date, we can already look forward to its arrival in the spring of 2026, and trust us, we certainly are.
