Finally Revealed: fragment design x Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Varsity Red/Sport Royal’

Original post January 31, 2026 - After months of rumors, Union LA has officially unveiled the fragment design x Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High OG. Early speculation surrounding this release, along with two additional colorways, has been circulating for quite some time. Now, we finally get a look at the official images of the 'Varsity Red/Sport Royal' colorway.
The sneaker blends Union LA’s signature deconstructed aesthetic with the iconic color blocking of the legendary 2014 fragment design x Air Jordan 1. A classic 'Black Toe' base is paired with 'Royal Blue' accents on the heel and outsole, while a 'Varsity Red' collar delivers a bold contrast.
Striking exposed stitching gives the sneaker a premium, layered feel, and the fragment design logo is stamped into the leather on the heel.
This colorway is part of a three-piece collaboration. Alongside this pair, a 'Black/Sport Royal' and a 'White/Black' colorway are also expected, both of which we’ve already seen. The release is rounded out with a matching co-branded apparel collection.
The fragment design x Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High OG 'Varsity Red/Sport Royal' is scheduled to release on February 14, 2026, during NBA All-Star Weekend. A drop that could very well be labeled a “sneaker of the year” contender.
