New Balance and CONCEPTS come up with a special sneaker. The 992 'Low Hanging Fruit' takes its inspiration from Frieda Rapoport, also known as the 'Kiwi Queen'. The pair will be released on 10 November at CONCEPTS.

The 'Low Hanging Fruit' pays tribute to Frieda Rapoport. Rapoport was the first woman in the USA to start her own fruit and vegetable business. In the 1960s she dealt in mushrooms, sunchokes and later kiwis. At that time, it was very unusual to trade kiwis. Yet Rapoport achieved great success with it and was called the 'Kiwi Queen'.

The CONCEPTS x New Balance 992 'Low Hanging Fruit' has been given a striking look. The look of a kiwi is brought back into the design and the upper consists of hairy suede. On the midsole, the green colour makes its appearance. This bright colour is also found on the N-logo and the laces.

On the heel of the pair is the CONCEPTS brand. The toe cap is made of suede and has perforation holes. These help the sneaker to breathe. The tongue is made of mesh and keeps the model supple. On the heel is the model '992' printed. The New Balance logo can also be seen on the tongue.

The midsole has a striking print. Strawberries can be seen on this. The strawberries and kiwis are also found on the custom box.

The pair released on 10 November on the CONCEPTS website.
