ASICS introduces a new model, the GEL-NIMBUS 10.1. Although, the sneaker is not really new. For instance, the model takes inspiration from the ASICS GEL-NIMBUS 10.1 and the GEL-KAYANO 14. The silhouette makes its debut in two colorways: 'Ocean Haze' and 'Piedmont Grey'.
An old friend
The ASICS GEL-NIMBUS 10.1 takes inspiration from the GEL-NIMBUS 10 introduced in 2008 after the success of the GEL-NIMBUS 9. The model was designed as a running shoe, but it has also received high praise as a lifestyle sneaker in recent years.
The ASICS GEL-NIMBUS 10.1 has received a sole swap. The sneaker retains the upper of its predecessor, but uses the sole of the GEL-KAYANO 14, arguably ASICS' best or at least most iconic sneaker model. The result: a dynamic, modern, and comfortable sneaker.
The GEL-NIMBUS 10 uses design details from the 2000s. The upper comes with asymmetrical overlays, which gives the model a modern touch. The upper is made of breathable mesh and is shaped to the foot's natural bone structure.
The GEL-KAYANO 14 sole is easily identified by its exposed heel. The sole uses two layers of EVA foam that provide extra cushioning and comfort. The inserts are based on the GEL technology and the TRUSSTIC system provides extra support.
ASICS introduces the GEL-NIMBUS 10.1 in 'Ocean Haze' and 'Piedmont Grey' colorways. The silhouette will be available at ASICS and select retailers starting July 12, 2024. Check out the official images of the sneakers below and don't miss this release.
