In 2017, Aleali and Jordan's first collaboration took place. For this sneaker collab, she chose the Air Jordan 1 as her model. This was the very first unisex Jordan to be released. As inspiration for the design, Aleali used memories from her childhood in Los Angeles. She applied different textures to the shoe. She used corduroy, which reminded her of the slippers her father wore. Chenille is also used on the swooshes, her inspiration for this material coming from vintage sports jackets.
2. 'Court Lux' Air Jordan Pack (2018)
Together with basketball star Mayo Moore, Aleali designed not one, but two Jordans for the Court Lux pack. This pack consisted of their favourite Jordan model: an Air Jordan 1 (Aleali's favourite) and an Air Jordan 10 (Maya's favourite). This time, the sneakers were specially designed for women. The reason for this was to emphasise how important women are in sports and sneaker culture. The pack featured bold colours that combined to create a striking colourblock pattern.
3. Aleali May x Air Jordan 6 Retro 'Millennial Pink' (2019)
The colour millennial pink was becoming increasingly popular in the fashion industry. It was seen as a versatile colour that could be combined with anything. Aleali capitalised on this trend and chose to use the colour almost entirely on the Air Jordan 6. The combination of the bold Jordan 6 with the soft pink colour drew praise from fashion and sneaker lovers alike.
