New Balance is teaming up with Aimé Leon Dore (ALD) again for their latest silhouette design, the RC56. The unreleased sneaker brings bright colours and bold textures that have been carefully crafted by ALD and New Balance.
ALD x New Balance RC56
The first time the duo collaborated was back in 2019, blending retro style into modern streetwear culture, gaining online attention. Their past designs have elevated the New Balance brand image in urban style. The RC56 is turning heads across social media, celebrated for its bold reinterpretation of the classic retro runner.
Aimé Leon Dore has previous collaborations with the sportswear giant, such as the New Balance 860v2, which have paved the way for their relationship.
The RC56 debuts a rich mix of textures — from mesh uppers to a sculpted outsole — this sneaker channels pure nostalgia while staying true to New Balance’s heritage and ADL's elevated street style.
ALD’s Vice President, Joe Bavasso, has teased possible upcoming colourways on Instagram, sparking even more anticipation among sneaker fans and fashion insiders alike. But the pair getting the most heat is the RC56 in Volt Green colourway (see below).
The Drop
The exact release date of the Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance is still unknown, but we can expect the RC56 to drop Spring/Summer 2025 on New Balance official website and selected retailers.
