To the world of golf: get ready! The famous adidas Ultraboost is hitting the fairways soon. The brand with the three stripes introduced the first-ever Ultraboost Golf. This rework of the silhouette is designed specifically for the course. The Ultraboost Golf will be hitting retailers and the confirmed app on Friday the 21st of April 2023.
To celebrate the sneaker coming to the sport for the first time, adidas will release two limited-edition colorways. The iconic OG black and purple as a tribute to the first adidas Ultraboost and an all-grey version with pops of green. Next to all of this will a special silver/olive colorway be available on adidas.com for adiClub members on April 13. All the sneakers are dropping in unisex sizing.
The adidas Ultraboost: an icon among icons
At the heart of the silhouette is a sneaker that blends high-performance and streetwear fashion. For years, has the shoe been seen on the feet of some of the biggest names in the world. Justin Bieber and Kanye West amongst many others in the sneaker community.
Mason Denison, director of footwear at adidas had the following to say about the Boost. ''Even though it's been less then a decade, it's such a icon within the brand. Therefore, we took our time to only add pieces that would fit golfers while still keeping the Boost DNA.''
About the shoe
Built with the Ultra-Boost DNA, the design team at adidas has subtly infused some golf updates to the shoe that golfers would like. Firstly the ADIWEAR rubber outsole has textured lugs for spineless performance and comfort on and off the course. The upper exists of reinforced PRIMEKNIT with a microfiber leather overlay for added stability. Floating croc-textured saddle and a TPU heel clip provide stability throughout the swing.
The limited-edition colorways will be available on the adidas website, the adidas app and at selected retailers on Friday, 21 April 2023. The adidas.com-exclusive silver and olive colorway will be available to adiClub member beginning April 13 2023.
