The HOKA brand was launched in 2009 in the French Alps, more precisely in Annency, an Alpine town in south-east France. Salomon started out in 1957 in a small workshop. The brand initially produced ski boots, but over time the focus shifted to the production of hiking boots. ON Running sneakers

HI TEC sneakers
The 'Hi-Tec' brand was founded in the UK in 1974 by Dutchman Frank van Wezel. His first sneaker was a squash shoe, which was the result of numerous complaints from squash players. Later, van Wezel designed the first lightweight hiking shoe, the Sierra sneaker.
