Slam Jam and New Balance have once again joined forces for a new collab. Images have surfaced of the 991 silhouette being given a makeover in dark tones. And this makeover is very promising, we can tell you!
This is not the first time we have seen a collaboration between the two appear. In fact, a very exclusive collaboration appeared in October 2019. In total, only 89 pairs appeared. Slam Jam is a fashion, music and culture shopping platform founded in 1989 by Luca Benini. From his garage, Luca started selling English and American streetwear. This grew into Slam Jam and today the label has collaborations behind its name with brands such as Palace, Carhartt, Stüssy and New Balance.

Let's take a closer look at the 991 silhouette. The upper is composed of a combination of multiple materials, such as mesh, suede and leather. The base of the sneaker is a black colour with overlays in the colours grey and brown. The New Balance logo on the side has been given a contrasting white colour. Furthermore, there is some branding here and there on the heel and on the tongue. When we go down to the sole, we see a contrasting grey/white colour combination. Here and there, you can also find some chrome details.
What makes this collab even better is that the sneaker will appear in both men's and women's sizes, with a price tag of €200. Keep an eye on the Sneakerjagers release calendar, so you will know when this collaboration drops. You can also download the Sneakerjagers App, so you will receive notifications when the sneaker drops.
