Robert Greenburg and his son Michael found Skechers in 1992, originally intended to be a gateway for Dr Martens into the USA, however the pair soon being creating and promoting their own line of footwear.

The Chrome Dome, an urban street boot with a pre-loved look, becomes the brand’s first claim to fame.

By renting out a 54,000 square foot space at the World Congress Centre of Atlanta, Skechers establishes itself as an athletic footwear powerhouse. The brand is offered its own space in Macy’s central New York location.
