The Nike Air Max Pre-Day is a modern reinterpretation of Nike's rich running heritage, blending retro aesthetics with forward-thinking sustainability and design.
Released in 2021, it draws inspiration from late-1970s jogging shoes, featuring a streamlined silhouette with a lightweight mesh upper, synthetic suede overlays, and a bold, exposed Air unit beneath the heel. This design not only nods to the past but also introduces a fresh approach to cushioning.
Unlike traditional Air Max models where the Air unit is encapsulated, the Pre-Day's full-length Air cushioning is fully visible and compressed between the midsole and outsole, delivering a uniquely soft and responsive feel with each step.
Emphasising sustainability, the Air Max Pre-Day is constructed with at least 20% recycled materials by weight, including a 100% recycled polyester upper and approximately 13% Nike Grind rubber in the outsole, aligning with Nike's Move to Zero initiative aimed at reducing waste and carbon emissions.
