The Skyhand OG hails from ASICS' 1990s handball-archives, originally released as a court shoe specifically built for indoor handball. Its silhouette is low-profile and slim-cut, designed to offer freedom of movement and agility on the court.
When ASICS reissued it in 2024, they kept many of those heritage aesthetic cues (suede overlays, leather or synthetic leather panels, gum rubber outsoles) while integrating modern comfort and materials. They added cushioning tech like an EVA wedge in the heel for impact absorption, and FlyteFoam in the forefoot for lighter, more responsive step feel.
