The Air Jordan 19, released in 2004, marked a significant departure from its predecessors by embracing a futuristic design inspired by the black mamba snake.
Designed by Tate Kuerbis, the bold and aggressive AJ19 featured a Tech-Flex upper - a flexible, breathable material that offered a lightweight and supportive fit. This was complemented by a full-length Zoom Air cushioning system, providing responsive comfort on the court. A unique Velcro strap system allowed for a customisable fit, while a carbon fibre shank plate enhanced midfoot stability.
