The adidas AlphaBOUNCE was launched around 2016 as a mid-tier performance running/training hybrid aimed at athletes who want both comfort and flexibility in their stride.
Central to its design is the FORGEDMESH upper (a seamless, engineered mesh shaped in zones that balance breathability, support, and freedom of movement) made using motion-capture data from adidas’s ARAMIS system to see where the foot expands or strains in real conditions.
Underfoot, its midsole utilises adidas’ BOUNCE™ foam, which offers a responsive, springy feel, combined with moulded TPU torsional elements to stabilise the heel and midfoot during lateral work. The outsole uses rugged, engineered rubber for grip across road and gym surfaces.
