The story behind the coughing strawberry on the Nike SB Dunk High "Strawberry Cough
Nike SB is one of the few brands that celebrate April 20th every year, as it is 4/20 in the American Calendar and therefore a kind of "stoner" holiday. When the first leaks from "Strawberry Cough" arrived the assumption was a 20.4 2020 release. Guess what happened to the release on 20.4 2020. It did not take place. However the shoe that Nike SB designed together with the illustrator and artist Todd Bratrud will release in 2020 and so here are all the details about the shoe.
The whole model is made out of very high quality materials. The main-upper is suede. The swoosh and the other light green part of the dark are ostrich leather. In addition there is smooth leather from the Toebox. A transparent midsole gives the sneaker its finishing touch.
Why the shoe has 'strawberry' in its name is easy to see, from the colours, the 'cough' comes from the logo of the coughing strawberry, which is on the side of the shoe and on the inside sole.
