Although many of Pharrell Williams’ designs for Louis Vuitton have stirred up plenty of commotion, there is one design that has captivated us over the past two years: the collaboration with Timberland. During the Louis Vuitton runway show in Paris in early 2024, the exclusive Timberland boots made their debut.
Now, more than a year and a half later, the allegedly final 18-karat gold Louis Vuitton x Timberland 6-Inch Boot has surfaced in Tokyo.
Only 50 pairs of this collaboration exist. Each boot comes in a custom-made Louis Vuitton case that is at least as chic as the boot itself. The 6-Inch boot retains its classic look, featuring a 'Wheat' colorway and a chunky design.
The upper is crafted from rich Italian leather, and the iconic Louis Vuitton monogram is applied throughout the design. The tongue features the LV logo in a gold emblem, and 18K gold is also used on the heel for the Timberland logo.
With its extremely limited run, the Louis Vuitton x Timberland 6-Inch Boot has become a mythical sneaker, comparable to the Freddy Krueger Dunks or the Eminem x Carhartt Jordan 4s. The $85,000 price tag is therefore not entirely unreasonable, thanks to the luxurious materials and the scarce availability.
On Instagram, user and sneaker enthusiast @t.mcfly showcases a pair numbered 15 out of 50, in US size 10.5. Who owns the other 49 pairs from this legendary collaboration remains a mystery for now.
