The NB 54/70, as you can probably guess, refers to the all-time classic New Balance 574, which was launched in 1988 as an all-terrain running sneaker. It became a favourite in the performance world due to its durability, premium quality and timeless style. More than three decades later, it still enjoys a broad fan base among New Balance lovers and sneakerheads in general.
The modernised update that stays true to its roots was first released in 2020. The New Balance 57/40 convinces with a gaudy 80s and 90s design. It has a suede and mesh upper, a distinctive midsole and the significant N logo on the side.
DAHOOD HUB x New Balance and the heroes of our childhood
The DAHOOD HUB x New Balance collab dropped at the end of March 2021. The Hong Kong-based brand released the New Balance 57/40 with action figure-style packaging. The bright yellow and khaki evoke American comic strips and outdoor wear, while the packaging further reminisces about our childhood and adds exclusivity to the shoe.
