That's the Nike BeTrue collection 2020
The month of June is now also known as 'Pride Month'. After Nike's competitors have already presented their Pride collections, Nike will finally follow suit on June 19, 2020. The whole collection is dedicated to supporting the LGBTQ community (what that is I'll tell you below). Let's take a look at the sneakers first.
In this year's BeTrue collection Nike focuses on 'old vs. new'! Because on the one hand we get the probably most popular silhouette of the year in Pride look: The Air Force 1! On the other hand, the silhouette of the Air Max 2090 has also been given the BeTrue look. The Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 37 and the retro sandal Nike Air Deschutz round out the whole thing - for all those who don't like sneakers in summer.

Nike Air Force 1 'Be True 2020'
For the first time an Air Force has also made it into the collection. Contrast is definitely written in capital letters in this design. The otherwise so simple sneaker comes with a white leather upper, which is the perfect contrast to the colorful details. We get several rainbow flags - both on the midsole and on the tongue. It comes with a colorful shimmering Swoosh and a representation of the 'More Color, More Pride' flag on the heel.
Nike Air Max 2090 'BETRUE'
The latest silhouette from Nike has also made it into the collection. Unlike the Air Force, we get less contrast and more colorblocking here, because the shoe is multicolored - no rainbow flag is necessary anymore. But to support the energy of the Pride movement a little bit more we find the writing 'BETRUE' on the mudgard.
Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 37 'BETRUE'
The running sneaker comes with an actually plain black upper and a white midsole. Here we find the Swoosh, which is colored all over the outside. In addition, the colors continue to stretch in small boxes over the upper. Also with this style we find the writing 'BETRUE' on the shoe, but here on the tongue.
Nike ACG Air Deschutz 'BETRUE'
Let's come to our last and rather half sneaker. The retro sandal by Nike is rather in plain black. But the bright colors of the LGBTQ movement should not be missing here. They are completely hidden on the underside of the straps. In addition there is then still another small bag at the heel strap and ready is the half sneaker.

As I mentioned before, the collection is intended to support the LGBTQ community. LGBTQ - what is that? The term is composed of the words lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex and queer and describes all those people who do not feel that they belong to heterosexuality. Unfortunately, it is still the case today that these people are oppressed or even discriminated against.
The BeTrue collection has been a permanent part of Nike's program since 2012. This is not only good to spice up one's own image a little, but also to fight for equality and cohesion in the world. Nike is a globally known and also popular company with a great influence on people's opinion making. Thanks to social media, it is also much easier today to spread a message worldwide.
Nike itself puts the team in the foreground here. Even when we are alone, we are still together. They want to set an example and show that sexuality, gender and skin color are irrelevant and that you should always stick together. We are all human! ?
