Sneaker knowledge: The Converse CX technology - Super cushioning from 1917

When it comes to technology and innovation, somehow you always think of our age in the same way. Innovative technology, new designs & engineering are words that marketing likes to use to promote the latest innovations. But if you look back, I would say that cushioning & new ideas had a much greater impact back then. But I didn't really want to put up a showdown today. Instead I wanted to tell you a little bit more about the Converse CX technology and the collection.

Converse Official

More than 100 years ago, Marquis Converse tinkered with new technologies and created 'CX'. He experimented with rubber and presented the 'triple tread' technology. This was the start of the success of today's classics, such as the Chuck Taylor All Star. Today, technology has evolved and the Converse Innovation and Design Team, with Phil Russo, Global VP, Design & Innovation as Captain, is now presenting us with a 3-series of new products:

CX stretch canvas

Well, everybody, I think it looks pretty cozy. If you know Converse by the foot, you will appreciate the lightness of the canvas fabric, or simply called 'canvas'. Imagine then this fabric with stretch function. This is very comfortable to wear 🙌 Slip in - slip out is the order of the day

CX foam

Then the jumping cushion comes into play. 'A pairing of a single-density PU insole and lightweight phylon midsole, which boosts impact absorption to maximize long-lasting comfort.' Ahaaaa. The Converse CX technology, then. Again, I think a live image is easier to understand and gives a happy chuckle when you imagine what the future asphalt moments will be like 🤩:

New design for the sole

And that the sole has been given a new design was hard to miss. Because if you only notice 'the exterior', then you could think that the designers mean the futuristic look of the sneaker. But nothing is less true, almost. Because first of all we want to show the great features. And if this is really true, then the era of the 'broken in' soles at the beginning of the toe cap may be a thing of the past from now on 🥳Because, if the rubber can do the stinging nettle move, then yes, the rest will do too:

The collection of the converse CX technology

Converse wouldn't be a sneaker brand if they didn't put everything on everything and didn't also sell their new achievements. They also designed 3 new models, so you can try out the full wearing experience right away.

These 2 pretty colorways were the start of the new CX super duper comfortable collection for the high top sneaker. I personally like the name for the orange colorway: Wild Mango 🤗

If you follow me and my blog posts diligently, then you already read about the collaboration with the American photographer Shaniqwa Jarvis the day before yesterday. She has designed this beautiful sneaker for you. As you can see, this is also part of the CX series:

If you like to read the blog and the whole story again, here is the direct way to the blog post:

The low version of the Chuck Taylor All Stars is available in several colorways. Wild Mango remains the theme 🧡

And for those who like a little less 'wild' on the sole, Converse has come up with a slightly simpler design. You have to take a good look, but it is really different. Even though the colorway has the same name, just the order has been changed ⚡So, take attention:

Chuck Taylor Disrupt CX

And then there are the 'damaged' sneakers of this series. Disrupted versions we have seen a few times before, at Converse and other brands. There, however, the upper was often worked on and the fabric was sewn on the wrong way round or 'turned upside down', i.e. applied from the inside to the outside. On the CX Disrupt version they have worked on the sole:

So I searched a long time for the wild 🥭, because this sneaker is rather pale & white, instead of wild…

I need holidays dear people…🤐But on the label you can find an eenie meenie piece. In black, this model was also available, but you seem to like it a little bit better, because it is already gone and sold out!

Soooo…Now you know all about the old-new technology and I think Mr. Marquis Converse (I think the name mega sounds so medieval, or is it just me 🤔) would have been very proud of his team.
