Slam Jam x Nike got together again and gave two Dunk High models some really nice new styles. Of course we want to introduce them to you today, dear community. What can you look forward to? Endless hype, an upside-down swoosh and colorways in a class of their own. But let's start with the release info.
The Slam Jam x Nike Dunk High 'Clear White' will be released on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 09:00 am. Exclusive at Slam Jam and in the Nike SNKRS App. If there are more retailers and raffles you can check them out by clicking the button below. The price for the kicks is 150€. The darker colorway will also be released at the end of October, but more about that later.
Slam Jam x Nike - a rebellious success story
The Italian store Slam Jam has been setting new standards in streetwear and underground culture for over 30 years. The label is known for its rebellious designs, which we have also seen on a few sneakers in the past. Remember for example the blazers of Slam Jam x Nike?
So for their latest collaboration, Nike and Slam Jam have now used the model of Dunk High as their canvas. Founder Luca Benini talks about a shoe model with a special history that has inspired him personally. If you want to read the story in detail, just click here.
Even though the Dunk Low has been the focus of attention so far this year as far as the hype is concerned, the High version is following more and more and comes with some fire colorways. And it wouldn't be Slam Jam if the style of their Dunk didn't go through the roof aswell!
The kicks in detail
The details: here are some of them! Because the new Slam Jam X Nike Dunk High 'Clear White', or Light Grey colorway features some elements that bring out the rebellious side of Dunk High. As we already know it from Slam Jam and Nike, we also find a reversed Swoosh here. This time with the Nike branding on the Tongue. Furthermore, the elements here are made of transparent rubber, matching the outsole, which also comes in this style.
The 'big' swoosh is also designed in this look and shimmers a little blue. The overlays, which are typical for the Dunk look, come here in a light grey. On the heel we find another Slam Jam branding. Another highlight is the play with the well known Dunk perforations. They come here on the toe box, but in a completely different way than we know it! And also on the side under the swoosh there is this design element again. But take a look for yourself, dear community:
The black colorway of the Slam Jam x Nike Dunk High is expected to be released by selected retailers on 30 October 2020. As soon as there are any news, you will find out in our release calendar.
Optically there are some parallels to the bright colorway. Black overlays of suede, the transparent outsole, the perforations, we find all that here too. Together with the branding, the dark swoosh and the two-tone laces, this is a real bang to look forward to. Here you can get a first impression:
