The White / Sail / Metallic Gold / Barely Rose look on Michael Jordan's sixth signature shoe was originally scheduled for release in November. However, it was recently confirmed that the pair will be released on the first of July via the SNKRS app and at other shops.
Not so coincidentally, this pair comes in the second half of the silhouette's 30th anniversary. As such, the look takes inspiration from gold hoops, reminiscent of both earrings and the basketball hoops. The golden hoops are represented by numerous details in the design of the shoe.
The first thing you notice are the three interconnected gold hoops attached to the lacing of the shoe, more specifically the tongue of the shoe. The top hoop is attached under the lace toggle, which is the same gold colour with the Jordan logo in white to match. On the bottom, there is another hoop to which a dangling metal Jumpman has been attached, which hangs over the laces of the shoe.
The base of the shoe is made of a very light grey, almost white, mid-grain drum leather. The shoe also features a silk matt lining, pink details in the midsole and a milky white translucent rubber outsole.
Another golden accent is found on the back of the shoe, in the form of the Jumpman made of super-beautiful golden stitches. Last but not least, an antique pink tone was chosen for the tongue, matching the midsole and the small stripe on the heel pull tab. The tongue comes, as we know it from the Jordan 6, with the typical holes.
