Mathieu Hagelaars
Mathieu Hagelaars, founder of Studio HAGEL (@hagel) in Amsterdam, is perhaps one of the most creative designers on Dutch soil. In 2015, Mathieu founded his own design agency. His designs can be recognized out of thousands. Driven by experimentation and cutting-edge technologies, Studio HAGEL has established its name in the sneaker world.

Mathieu broke the internet with his #MAKERSMONDAY, a challenge in which he tasked himself with designing a new sneaker within a few minutes using materials from the studio. This led to creative, progressive, and sometimes somewhat futuristic designs that caught the eye of brands worldwide.
In his career, Mathieu has collaborated with Virgil Abloh, Takashi Murakami, Valentino, Moon Boot, and many more. In 2023, he came out with his own shoe line called HAGEL. The Shroud appeared in several colorways. In late 2023, he introduced the HAGEL TENT, one of his most innovative creations so far, and recently he broke the Internet with his PUMA "Monstrous Mostros" design.
