Amid all the Air Max 95 releases this year, a few models truly stand out. One of them is the Air Max 95 Ultra in the OG ‘Neon’ colorway, a colorway that, 30 years after its debut, remains a fan favorite and has appeared on several sneakers.
The latest addition to this lineup is the Air Max 95 Ultra, a modern and updated version of the classic designed by Sergio Lozano.
The Ultra variant was introduced in 2015 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Air Max 95. The silhouette received a slimmer fit and streamlined adjustments, such as overlays with a softer feel.
Under the upper, cords wrap around the shoe, forming around the foot for a dynamic fit. Ironically, many of the slimmer details introduced with this model in 2015 have now largely disappeared; the focus is clearly on the OG-inspired ‘Big Bubble’.
Yet, the no-sew overlays and translucent mesh panels remain just as sleek as in the 20th-anniversary debut.
