Football, Manchester United, and Blokecore fans pay attention, adidas is bringing back a classic. adidas has taken a look and has released the 1988-90 collection. The collection has been available on the website since the 15th of May 2023 and there are a few outstanding designs.
Some history
For those that don't know a lot about football, Manchester United is royalty when it comes to 'The Beautiful Game'. They have won everything there is to win when it comes to the game of football, and are not done yet.
From winning their domestic cup a record 20 times to have won the infamous Champions League over three times. Manchester United is one of the biggest clubs in the world. With lots of silverware and some of the biggest names in the footballing world having played and coached the 'Red Devils'.
Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Eric Cantona, David Beckham, and of course Sir Alex Ferguson. These are only a few of the huge names that come to mind when you mention Manchester United.
The Manchester United adidas collection
adidas revisits the 1988 to 1990 period. At a time when Sir Alex Ferguson just started as their manager, and they just won their first cup after a five-year drought.
For the collection, adidas and Manchester United revisit a few popular pieces of the adidas archives and gave them a modern twist. Bringing a spirit of nostalgia with this special collection. The dime-piece of this collection is the Man UTD x Originals third jersey. With a lot of details on the shirt, the design was inspired by the legendary Manchester United kit worn at the time.
Next to this iconic t-shirt, the collection includes the Man UTD Bench jacket, inspired by the jacket worn by Sir Alex Fergunson himself. Other t-shirts, sweaters, and some nice accessories finish off this special collection.
