How the Timberland 6-Inch Boot stole the show at Paris Fashion Week 2024

Although the classic 6-Inch Boot has been very popular for years, Timberland seems to have big plans for the silhouette in 2024. This was evident during Paris Fashion Week 2024, where Timberland stole the show. In addition to a collaboration with French fashion house Louis Vuitton, Timberland also came up with its own campaign called "JE T'IMBS" and the brand took over the cafe Recto Verso.

Paris Fashion Week 2024

Last week, Paris Fashion Week 2024 took place. During this week, various brands show their upcoming collections on the runway. Besides high-end brands such as Chanel, Dior and Louis Vuitton, Timberland was a much-discussed label this year. The outdoor brand was founded in the 1950s and is known for its sturdy boots, which at the time were worn primarily by workers. Today, the brand is also embraced by sneaker and hip-hop culture.

This was evident once again during Paris Fashion Week 2024, when the well-known 6-Inch Boot appeared several times on the runway. Pharrell Williams, Louis Vuitton's Creative Director since the death of Virgil Abloh, showed numerous variations of a Louis Vuitton x Timberland 6-Inch Boot. The model appeared in several colorways, each dressed with the Louis Vuitton monogram.

The clash of high-end brands like Louis Vuitton, and outdoor or streetwear brands is something increasingly common in the fashion world these days. Abloh was known for his unique designs that combined streetwear with high-end fashion, and it seems Pharrell is continuing this trend with his recently shown collection.

'JE T'IMBS'

In addition to the debut of the Louis Vuitton x Timberland 6-Inch Boot, Timberland also came out with its own campaign titled "JE T'IMBS. The campaign was shared via large billboards through the streets of Paris during the week and showcased the classic Timberland boot.

The name JE T' IMBS' was derived from the French 'Je T'aime,' which means 'I love you.' With the campaign, the brand wanted to draw more attention to the all too popular 6-Inch Boot, also known as the "Yellow Boot".

Café Recto Verso

Finally, Timberland was also on display at the French cafe Recto Verso from January 17-18. Throughout the weekend, the coffee house was drawn in Timberland logos and the works of Spanish artist Pepo Moreno. At the café, visitors could immerse themselves in the world of Timberland (and order a coffee, of course).

To conclude the Timberland weekend, the brand threw its own PDPOOL afterparty in the heart of Paris. Artists such as Stephane Ashpool, ASAP Nast, Kim Turnball and Ciesay could be spotted wearing the 6-Inch Yellow Boots.

In short, an eventful week for Timberland. The 6-Inch Boot is still very relevant decades later after its debut, and it looks like the shoe will get the recognition it deserves in 2024.
