In the last month four different colorways have emerged for the Sacai x Nike Vaporwaffle. The Vaporwaffle is the successor to the LD Waffle and is, just like the previous release, enormously popular. Now there are again four new colorways of the sneaker, only this time there is one small change on the upper part.
Sacai is a Japanese fashion label set up in 1999 by Chitose Abe. Chitose Abe founded Sacai in order to use her creativity. Before founding Sacai, she worked for Comme des Garçons for eight years. In 2009 Chitose Abe had her first pop up shop in Paris and in 2011 her first runway show in Paris. Through this runway show Sacai got even more attention and the brand is now with more than 175 retailers. Through the years Sacai has worked together with Vans, Birkenstock, Ugg and of course Nike.
Sacai Nike Vaporwaffle
The new Sacai x Nike Vaporwaffle comes in these colorways: 'Black Off Noir', 'Campfire Orange', 'Sail' and 'Blue Void'. The construction of the sneaker has remained the same but there is a small adjustment on the upper part. The mesh that was first used as a base has now been replaced by nylon. The sneaker also has a double Swoosh, tongue, laces and sole. What makes the sole so special is that it splits at the end.
A release date is not yet known for the Sacai Nike Vaporwaffle, but is expected somewhere in the beginning of 2021. Check out the images below and keep an eye on the Sneakerjagers release calendar to never miss another sneaker release.
