Dior and Stone Island (finally) join forces

Today we are talking about collaboration that people have long expected and secretly hoped for; Stone Island and Dior. Curated by Kim Jones, Artistic Director at Dior and the mastermind behind Dior and Jordan's 2020 crossover, the duo comes with an extensive capsule collection that combines the DNA of both brands.

Dior x Stone Island 2024

The collaboration between Dior and Stone Island is actually a very logical move on both sides. The two brands have a rich history and a great impact on today's fashion world. The founders, Christian Dior and Massimo Osti, were artisans themselves in search of unparalleled savoir-faire - and they succeeded.

Crossovers from high-end brands, such as Dior and Stone Island, is something that seems to be happening much more often these days. Think of the 2017 Louis Vuitton x Supreme collab or the 2021 Gucci and Balenciaga collaboration. Despite Stone Island and Dior's identities being suspiciously similar, this is the first time the two brands have joined forces.

The man behind the collaboration is Kim Jones, an English fashion designer who has worked for Fendi, Louis Vuitton and Dior. Jones himself also appears in the campaign, showing one of the eye-catchers from the capsule collection: the leather bomber jacket. The perfect combination of haute couture with military functionality.

The collection includes bomber jackets, accessories, bags, tees and waistcoats. Each item features the two brands' logos. The colour ochre yellow seems to be central to this collaboration and appears on several jackets, shoes and bags.

Stone Island and Dior both value craftsmanship and strive for the highest quality in every collection. The items from this collab are therefore handmade and use "noble materials", as Dior called it in a statement.

The collab does not yet have an official release date. However, we can expect the first items in summer 2024. In which price range these will fall is still unknown, but assume they will be at Dior prices, dear community.
