On 6 December 2023, the film 'Wonka' will make its debut in the cinemas. A prequel to the film 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory', the film tells the story of young Willy Wonka and his path to becoming a chocolatier. To celebrate the film's release, Converse has planned a collab with Willy Wonka Converse Chuck 70 designs and some apparel pieces.
A total of four silhouettes will be launched in the style of Willy Wonka x Converse. You can look out for two Chuck 70 models in 'Chocolate Swirl' and 'Oompa Loompa', an All Star BB Trilliant CX in the colorway 'Gold', and two All Star Corduroy models in 'Deep Bordeaux' and 'Swirl'.
The most striking kicks are the two Chuck 70 models in 'Chocolate Swirl' and 'Oompa Loompa'. The latter has an orange canvas upper and bright green laces, while the 'Chocolate Swirl' features a brown leather upper and 'chocolate-like' swirls.
Each pair features italicised Wonka branding. Besides these pairs, three Chuck Taylors with Easy-On-Tooling for the littlest among us will also start dropping. There is also a small clothing collection with T-shirts, accessories and sweatpants.
All sneakers will be available from 7 December 2023, directly via Converse. You should expect prices ranging from around €75 to €130, depending on the pair you want to shop.
