Co-founder of CLOT, Edison Chen, adds eastern and western mentality to the upcoming CLOT x Air Jordan 14 low & Air Jordan 35. These two releases are the follow up to the 2018 Air Jordan 13 Low release.
CLOT is a streetwear and lifestyle brand founded by Edison Chen and Kevin Poon in 2003. Their goal was to connect Eastern and Western culture. The brand has collaborated with brands such as Nike, visvim, Fragment Design, Stüssy and many others. One of CLOT's most notable releases is the Air Max 1 'Kiss of Death' from 2006. This sneaker features a see-through toebox and Chinese details that make the shoe special.
CLOT x Air Jordan 14 Low & 35
Both sneakers have Chinese elements on them. On the Air Jordan 14, we see this in the Chinese coin pendant hanging from the heel of the shoe. The tongue of the Air Jordan 14 resembles a traditional rolled up scroll with the text "JORDAN" and "CLOT" on it. The rest of the upper is made mainly of light grey suede, but you can see orange details running up from the sole.
The Air Jordan 35 comes in the same theme as the Air Jordan 14. Grey suede is used on the forefoot and heel, and cream-coloured suede is used around the ankle. But the most striking detail is on the midfoot, where we see red stitching woven together. Gold eyelets and Jumpan logo finish the look.
