The Air Jordan 4 White Oreo is dropping soon! The sneaker will be released this summer 2021 and we are all ready for it.
A short presentation
After the success of the Air Jordan 3, it was time for something new. Tinker Hatfield therefore designed the Air Jordan IV in 1989. After the rather elegant and refined Air Jordan 3, Hatfield opted for a more practical design for the AJ4. To improve performance, Hatfield added over-molded mesh panels for breathability. The urethane lacquer-coated mesh was dipped in soft plastic and then air was blown through the mesh to remove the plastic from the openings in the mesh. This new technology allows the foot to breathe more when compared to sneakers with leather panels.
In addition, synthetic leather called Durabuck was added to the upper. This was cheaper and more animal-friendly. You could better adjust the fit of the kicks because of the extra holes. Finally, the text Air Jordan was stitched upside down on the tongue. When you turned the tongue, the text was exactly on the right side.
Let us also not forget Spike Lee's Oscar-nominated film 'Do The Right Thing'. This film contributed to the popularity of kicks. Check out the iconic scene from the film below.
Nike Air Jordan 4 White Oreo (2021)
Many thought the White Cement would return, but it turns out it really is the AJ4 White Oreo. The new kick consists mainly of the colours white, tech grey, black and fire red. The sneaker, just like on the original Oreo Air Jordan 4, has a speckled bottom and classic colorblocking added.
The silhouette features an all-white tumbled leather upper. The eyelets are detailed with speckled Cement Grey on the tech grey base. Furthermore, you can see a grey Jumpman on the heel and a striking, red Jumpman logo on the tongue, insole and outsole. The rubber sole is left white, which keeps the silhouette looking super clean.
As you can see in the picture below, the shoes come in a special shoe box. This box is inspired by the speckled sole of the Air Jordan 4 silhouette.
