The Nike Air Max 90 'Safari' is releasing on Saturday 3rd October 2020, the day of German Unity. The cost of this beauty is 150€. You can get the shoe via the Nike SNKRS app, where it will be released at 9am. As well as through other retailers, such as END, who already have a raffle going for the sneaker. Safari 🦓 🐆
A safari print on an Air Max - this is no novelty. It started back in 1987 with the Air Safari. Since then there have been several Nike models with Safari Prints. From football cleats, like the new CR7 Mecurials, which are completely printed with Safari Print, to basketball shoes like the Lebron 16 Low Atmos Safari, to some skate shoes, like the Nike SB Dunk Low Safari to Air Maxes. Especially the Air Max 1 with Safari Print have become cult sneakers. This is largely due to the Atmos Collabs, who have made good use of the Safari design. Nevertheless, in 30 years there hasn't been a lot of Air Max 90, with Safari Print, until now.
Air Max 90 ' Safari' on the same level as Nike x Atmos?
Whether the Nike Air Max 90 'Safari' can compete with the Nike x Atmos Air Max is a matter of opinion, because the sneakers are too different to be compared.
The Air Max 90 is mostly black, because the Toebox and the complete Muguard are black. Also the heel of the sneaker is almost completely black. However, all the Air Max details are in an eye-catching orange, which harmonises perfectly with the black. The Air Max is completed by a black and white cheetah print. The black cheetah pattern works perfectly together with the black upper, so that the cheetah pattern not only completes the shoe with its pattern, but also with its colour.
