The challenges facing our generation are increasing. In addition to the health risks, we may bear the economic consequences of the Corona crisis on our shoulders for the rest of our working lives. We wrestle with increasing political polarisation and fight for both gender equality and social justice worldwide. Finally, we cannot escape the effects and consequences of our ignorant actions towards our environment and consequently have to deal with them. Only, where do we start?
The key to every innovation and every collaboration is successful communication. Listening, hearing out, discussing. Moreover, ideas that make it easy to go green create a special incentive to save our planet with little effort.
This is also what adidas does with their products for more sustainability. Always remember, one step is better than none and three is better than two!
adidas x Sustainability
The brand presented the leak of its Primeblue and Primegreen products in 2020. Primeblue is a yarn made from 50% Parley Ocean Plastic, which is used to make the UltraBoost 21, for example.
Primegreen is a series of fabrics that in turn contain at least 40% recycled content and will be found in adidas products.

We wouldn't be us if we didn't show you our favourite pieces right away. Because that's what I meant by creating an incentive: Green shopping made easy!

The dependence on newly produced polyester has brought adidas to alternative solutions. Thus, various functional recycled materials are used for Primegreen products. But please just click through, there are so many choices!
In April 2021, we can still look forward to the release of the UltraBOOST DNA LOOP. This running shoe is made from a single material without glue. When it wears out, you can send it back to adidas. It can then be remanufactured into a new pair. As always, check out our release calendar!
