In order to optimally live out your new sporting resolutions in the new year, you naturally also need the right sportswear. How fitting that adidas recently introduced new, innovative sports bras and leggings!
There is science behind the new designs
The Pieces were created in collaboration with Professor Jason White, expert in sports science and physiological advisor to top athletes. Professor Joanna Wakefield-Scurr, head of the Breast Health Research Group at the University of Portsmouth, was also brought on board.
Why suitable sportswear is important
The designs are aimed at something very specific: No more distractions.
What does adidas mean by this? 58% of women say they often have to take breaks during workouts to pull up their leggings, while almost half (49%) have had marks on their skin due to tight-fitting clothing. Combined with the fact that up to 94% of women have asymmetric breasts, this highlights the importance of a proper and supportive fit and appropriate sportswear.
This is the collection
Available in all sizes, the bra and leggings collection is designed to ensure the athletes among you can reach their full potential. That's why adidas works with four-way stretch and springback through full adjustability to reinforced support structures and airflow management. The bras are designed for the respective sport - be it yoga, running or HIIT training.
