Since Teddy Santis was appointed as the creative director for New Balance he has released an impressive number of MADE in USA. Santis however, didn't forget his own brand, Aimé Leon Dore, either. NB and Aimé Leon Dore have been releasing intriguing collaborations regularly, including some New Balance 550 colorways.
After the success of the aforementioned 550 collaboration, the New York-based brand and New Balance announced a new round of 550 colorways. They have clashed heads to come up with two brand new colorways. The sneakers' materials and color-blocking suggest it could be aimed at the New York-based label's upcoming Fall/Winter 2022 collection, though release details are yet to be announced.
Both New Balance 550 colorways are available with monochromatic details for a timeless look that never goes out of date. One colorway features shaggy grey suede throughout the upper and a cream leather toe box. The ankle collar is also finished in hairy grey suede.
The second version adds a shaggy grey accent to the signature New Balance 'N' and heel counter. The base has off-white leather and grey-toned overlays. Both sneakers feature Aime Leon Dore and New Balance co-branding on navy blue and white tongues. The collaboration's apple logo is also on the left heel and the New Balance logo is on the right. Each sneaker has a cream midsole.
An exact release date for the shoes is unknown at the moment but they're expected to release soon at Aimé Leon Dore, but check the images below to get a feel for the new colorways.
