Black Forest x Puma Slipstream Lo 'Kuckuck'

On the 12 of August 2023, a quite unique sneaker will release. PUMA is collaborating with Schwarzwald Tourismus GmbH, a German company that's focusing on tourism, and is bringing out a black forest-inspired sneaker. The sneaker has a unique look and arrives exclusively in Germany.

PUMA is having quite a busy year. In the past couple of months, the German-based sneaker brand has collaborated with names like Rhuigi, LaMelo, Pleasures, and many more. The next collaboration is quite a unique one. PUMA is taking us on a trip into the Black Forest with the Slipstream Lo 'Kuckuck'.

Together with Schwarzwald Tourismus GmbH, PUMA has created a kuckuck clock-inspired sneaker. The kuckuck clock is a traditional item, made in Germany, more specifically, made in the Black Forest of Germany. The clocks are made out of wood and have a cuckoo bird built-in that will make its signature 'kuckuck' sound every hour.

The traditional clocks have been around for quite a while. To honor its legacy, PUMA is now bringing the design of the kuckuck clock onto the Slipstream Lo. The sneaker combines different colors of brown and has suede elements. The Slipstream overlay on the side panel is inspired by pine cones.

Attached to the lace panel, we see two pine cones. These refer to the wooden pine cones that are usually hanging down from the kuckuck clocks. Another unique touch on the sneaker, is the logo on the tongue. Here, we see a cuckoo bird escaping its cage.
