The Nike Air Max Pre Day returns in three new colorways. This model is one of Nike's newest models. The Pre Day first came out in March 2021. What was striking about the model was the different technologies and materials that were used.
The shape of the upper of this model is derived from the Air Tailwind which first came out in 1978. The sole does not resemble this model. Under the heel is a visible Air unit, which was first used on the Air Max 1.
This new Nike model is part of the Move To Zero project. This is the project with which the American sports brand wants to achieve their sustainability goals. Two of the main goals are to end plastic waste and to reduce CO2 emissions.
Through this sustainability project, the shoe consists of at least 20 percent recycled materials. In this model, the upper is made of 100 per cent recycled polyester and the outsole consists of 13 per cent Nike Grind Rubber.
Nike Air Max Pre Day 'Cave Stone' | DC5330-301
The 'Cave Stone' is one of the three new colorways. The upper of this colorway features more drab colours like dark blue, black and brown. The tongue on the other hand is in a light cream colour.
Nike Air Max Pre Day LX 'Phantom' | DC5331-001
The 'Phantom' colorway of this model is lighter in colour than the 'Cave Stone'. Light cream shades are used on the upper. Only the Swoosh, outsole and lining are in black.
Nike Air Max Pre Day LX 'Dark Citron' | DH5676-300
The 'Dark Citron' has the most colourful colorway of all three. The upper is ochre yellow and the Swoosh is pale pink. The tongue is the same colour as the other two above.
