A fusion of two top sneakers
Don't you find it strange that the latest member of the ZX family, which looks so much like the "thousand models" of the ZX series, doesn't also have a multiple of thousand in its name?
It is! 😄 But if you've combined them well, you'll have noticed which two ZX silhouettes make up the new adidas ZX 10/8. Namely, the new silhouette owes its many design elements to the ZX 10,000 as well as the adidas ZX 8000. So take away the last 3 zeros, put a slash in between and voilà: The adidas ZX 10/8 sees the light of the sportswear and sneaker world! 🐣

So the new adidas ZX 10/8 'Candyverse' combines two of the most popular sneaker silhouettes in the adidas ZX range. For the most part, elements of the ZX 10,000 have been used here, but obviously the sole units and also the heel cap are definitely borrowed from the ZX 8000.
But let's take a look at what makes the new sneaker colorway as super sweet as Candy:
Starting with the base of the shoes, things get pretty colourful right away! The orange sorbet upper comes together with a mint-coloured tongue, a purple sockliner and a pink suede toe cap.
A bright white on the toebox, eyelets and heelcap is reminiscent of classic hardboiled candy, with the heelcap even featuring the classic red candy stripes in between. Grey suede overlays and a 'Sail' coloured midsole paired with a black outsole fall outside the theme, but are made up for by a cool tongue tag with a candy paper graphic on it, ultimately completing the design. 😋
