Stray Rats and New Balance have teamed up again and come up with two colorways of the 991. In 2021, the brands also released a colourful 574 and the new collab also combines bold colours. The sneakers will most likely be released in December 2021.
Stray Rats x New Balance 991
American clothing brand Stray Rats cooperates again with New Balance. Stray Rats was founded in 2010 and is known for its graphic T-shirts. The striking prints and bold combination of colours is also brought back in the two colorways of the NB 991. In early 2021, the brands already released the two colorways 'Red' and 'Green' on the 574.
The two colorways come in the colours of the Stray Rats brand. For example, the first pair combines suede in a purple colour, with brown overlays and a green collar. On this pair, the famous N logo has been given a yellow colour and light grey overlays can be seen alongside brown overlays.
The collar is light green and contrasts well with the purple upper. On the nose, '//stray' is printed, which refers to the collaboration with Stray Rats. Furthermore, the sneaker has the New Balance logos on the tongue and on the heel you can see the model '991'.
The second colorway again combines a purple hue with black and grey. The upper of the sneaker is mainly black and the overlays have a light grey colour. The details around the sneaker are purple. The midsole and outsole are black and have purple elements.
Both colorways have no official release date yet. However, the Stray Rats x New Balance 991 is expected to be released in December 2021.
