Feng Chen Wang x Converse

The Feng Chen Wang x Converse Jack Purcell are not the first kickz that designer Feng Chen Wang created and released with Converse. The Partnership with Converse goes back years or no centuries! We are talking about the Zhou Dynasty where Yuanā€¦ .
Back to the Partnership - it's been around for a long time! Feng has already released a Converse Chuck 70, Converse Pro Leather etc. last year. The two already go hand in hand!

Feng Chen Wang was born in the east of China, more precisely in Northern Fujian Province. The Chinese born London based fashion designer Feng Cheng Wang has already presented many of her collections, for example at the Shanghai and London Fashion Week. This time Feng Chen Wang combines 'culture' with the Converse Jack Purcell.

In an interview the fashion designer admitted that this collabo or shoe means a lot to her. Although she lives in London and went to school there, she was born in China. The Kickz are part of her Fall/Winter 2020 Collection. Feng wanted to integrate her Chinese origin into the shoe. The Converse Jack Purcell silhouette was modified by her. In addition, the leather elements were added, which have a certain pattern and meaning!

The designer has integrated these initials into her shoe, but Feng admitted that they were not adopted 1:1, but modified and transformed it again. She said even Chinese people who can speak and read Mandarin cannot discover these characters.

Now to the kicks!

So dear community, you get two kickz at this drop! We have the 'All Black' and the 'Sea Salt' Colorway. Both come with the Feng Chen Wang branding on the heel and on the shoebox. What makes the shoe even more special is not the 'Feng Chen Wang Branding' in the Insole, but behind the tongue you find the Jack Purcell Branding 'The One With The Wedge'. The designer also said in an interview that anyone, whether man or woman, can buy and wear this shoe. Kids can also wear these kickz or individuals who like art. 'If you like these kickz, just go and get them. It doesn't matter if you're female, male, (or diverse), how old you are, it doesn't matter.' Below you will find the pics of the Kickz, have fun with them and ciao!
