Nike Air technology places pressurised air in a tough, flexible bag that provides more flexibility and spring without compromising the structure of the design. These air-filled units are strategically placed in Nike Air shoes' midsoles to absorb and redistribute impact forces at footstrike.
Nike Air shoes are distinguished by their iconic visible air bubbles in the midsoles, which symbolise style and cutting-edge performance while providing enhanced comfort, support, and reduced strain. The innovative cushioning reduces the overall weight of the shoe without reducing performance.
Impressively, all Air soles contain at least 50% recycled materials, and are made with 100% renewable energy.
The unmatched cushioning in Nike Air makes it a popular choice among athletes and sneaker enthusiasts.

It was Carolyn Davidson who designed the Nike Swoosh logo in 1971. As a graphic design student at Portland State University, she received only $35 for her design. Nike gave her a gold Swoosh ring and undisclosed amounts of Nike stock in 1983 for her iconic design. Nike's Swoosh is an excellent example of a simple logo having a powerful impact.
